November 28 is GivingTuesday

Most people know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday  … now we celebrate GivingTuesday, November 28, 2017.

It is a global movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Black Friday. The “Opening day of the giving season,” it’s a time when charities, companies and individuals join together and rally for favourite causes. In the same way that retailers take part in Black Friday, the giving community comes together for GivingTuesday.

Across Canada and around the world, GivingTuesday unites communities by sharing our capacity to care for and empower one another.

Make a difference today: volunteer, donate, perform an act of kindness, GIVE!

Public Engagement on Legal Services in Alberta

How do you find or get legal help? Or do you? Legal problems are something many Albertans face in their lifetime, yet many people can’t find or get the help they need.

The Law Society of Alberta (LSA) would like to understand if Albertans face barriers when finding or getting legal help. LSA is encouraging as many Albertans as possible to share their experiences with getting legal help or why they chose not to get legal help. The goal is to learn as much as they can about the barriers to getting legal help and ideas for making it easier to ensure access to legal services for all Albertans.
